Whispers in the Night
Happy Halloween, everybody.
While you are getting your costumes ready for the big night, I wrote a short ghost story. Only 96 words.
So, boo!
Amid the silence of Montparnasse Cemetery, Love endures beyond the veil of death. Among weathered stones and whispering cypress trees, spirits linger. By day, the world passes unaware, footsteps echoing on gravel paths; by night, the city quiets, and the presence of lovers now gone stirs like music remembered but never finished. Bound by promises never kept in life, they return to each other in fragments of wind and shadow, haunting both the cemetery and the streets beyond. Their story is not of rest but of an unfinished song, echoing across eternity.
